About QuareClare

QuareClare started in 2020 as a social group whose aim is to build a welcoming network of LGBTQIA+ people in Clare from all backgrounds. We host social events throughout the year across Clare and actively support other pride movements and organisations by organising day trips to Pride events across Ireland for our members.

In 2022, Quare Clare hosted our first Pride Celebration Weekend which included various events throughout County Clare including a Queer Poetry Night, the display of one of the Irish Names Quilt, a LGBTQ+ Youth Event, and a Drag, Dance, and DJ evening in Shannon attended by over 150 people.

In February of 2023, a strategic planning meeting was held to develop Quare Clare's Vision and Mission.  From the meeting a steering committee was formed who finalised our vision and mission and developed our strategic goals to ensure the continued growth of Quare Clare.
